主编简介

　　张弥曼院士，女，1960年毕业于苏联莫斯科大学地质系。回国后在中国科学院古脊椎动物与古人类研究所任职至今。1965年至1966年、1980年至1982年在瑞典国家自然历史博物馆进修并获斯德哥尔摩大学博士学位。1983年至1990年任中国科学院古脊椎动物与古人类研究所所长，1991年当选为中国科学院院士。1992年至1996年担任国际古生物协会主席。1993年至1997年任中国古生物学会理事长。1995年被选为伦敦林奈学会外籍会员。1997年被选为北美古脊椎动物学会名誉会员。曾先后被聘为美国纽约自然史博物馆、芝加哥菲氏自然史博物馆客座研究员、英国伦敦大学医学院解剖系客座教授、北美古脊椎动物学杂志编委、英国古生物学杂志国外联络人。
　　 张弥曼院士长期从事比较形态学、古鱼类学、中生代晚期及新生代地层、古地理学及生物进化论的研究。由她主持的课题在泥盆纪鱼类化石方面所取得的重要成果，曾获得国家自然科学二等奖，中国科学院自然科学一等奖，中国科学院重大成果一等奖；此外，她对中国东部中生代及新生代鱼类区系的研究，也曾获中国科学院科技进步二等奖。1999年获何梁何利奖。
